LE MANS 24H : TEAM MANAGERS AND DRIVERS BRIEFING

Yesterday, Monday, the drivers made their « seat ».They had to be patient .. but it is for their comfort in the car.

 

Today, Tuesday, team managers and drivers briefing at 11H00.

Again, it is raining at Le Mans ! And only 15 degrees ..

 

The french TV, France 3, was in our box, for the program "Soyons Sport", that will be on TV on Saturday. Tires changes, pit-stops demonstration, drivers presentation, were on the sequence filmed. To follow on Saturday and during next week-end race.

 

LE MANS 24H : Technical checks and pics !

Here we are, technical checks have been completed !

The car is ready to race and we could take the pics that everybody is waiting for .. A beautiful and sunny moment at Le Mans !

 

The drivers start to realize what represents the event of Le Mans.

The american drivers Matt Downs and Rodin Younessi,and the french driver, Thomas Dagoneau have been interviewed.. Olivia is translating  ..

 

Tomorrow, the drivers will be at the circuit, to prepare and make the new seat.

Free practices and night qualifying session are planned for Wednesday at 4 PM.

 

LE MANS 24H : we are still working ..

Although there is no test sessions before Wednesday, 20th of June, part of the team remained on site. Indeed, once they enter the paddock, our trucks are no longer allowed to move .. and therefore, our team has to work on site.

Next step in the Le Mans adventure : Sunday 16th of June, at 15,30, with the technical checks and presentation of the car and the team. Place de la Republique in the centrum of Le Mans.

LE MANS 24H Test Day : The quotes

Test day : the quotes ..

Only 10 laps to complete, yes, but ..

Matt Downs (driver) : "My first experience at Le Mans was exhilarating, humbling, and awe-inspiring!   Wow!  What a great track!  The Boutsen-Ginion Oreca-Nissan LMP2 performed very well and the team did a great job.  As a driver I hope to climb the learning curve and continue to improve !"

Rodin Younessi (driver) : "I now finally understand and truly appreciate why LeMans is such an epic race!"

Olivier Lainé (team manager) : "First laps for our drivers, who never raced at Le Mans, and this, in difficult weather conditions. We must stay focused for the rest of the program of the coming days..Thanks for following us !"

 

LE MANS 24H : TEST DAY : afternoon session

Afternoon session : It is still raining at Le Mans.

14H00 : Matt Downs is driving the LMP2 number 40.

15H00 : Rodin Younessi is now in the car. Safety-car procedure. And green flag.

 

A lot of cars (including our car) go out of the track.

16H00 : Thomas Dagoneau replaces Rodin Younessi at the wheel of the car. The track seems to be a little bit dryer.

Red flag. Fisichella went out of the track.

Green flag. Matt Downs is in the car. 1h30 to go for the test day.

Red flag. Dominik Kraihamer, our previous driver, is out of the track. Debris on the track.

Green flag. Rodin Younessi is in the car for the last 40 minutes.

 

End of session ! Thomas has well improved the times.

 

 

24H DU MANS : TEST DAY ! Morning session

TEST DAY  LE MANS 24 Hours !!!

2 sessions : morning and afternoon.

09H00 : Matt Downs is at the wheel of our LMP2. And it is raining at Le Mans ! Tire puncture, Matt is back at the pitbox.

10H00 : Matt Downs has completed his 10 laps. It is now Rodin Younessi in the car for the 10 laps. Still on wet tires.

11H30 : Rodin has complteted the 10 laps. Only 1 lap for Thomas Dagoneau  for the moment : red flag for the runaway of the Audi N°2. ...  Debris on the track.

12H00 : Green flag. Thomas Dagoneau is still in the car.

12H40 : Our 3 rookies have completed the mandatory 10 laps to participate to the official tests of Le Mans 24 Hours race. Bastien Brière, our reserve driver is now in the car. It is still raining in Le Mans.

13H00 : End of the session.

 

LE MANS 24H : The grid before the test day !

Tomorrow, the TEST DAY for the Le Mans 24 Hours race !

Our 3 drivers, 2 american, Matt Downs and Rodin Younessi, and the french driver, Thomas Dagoneau will have to complete 10 laps of the circuit in order to be qualified for the famous race !

 

 

It is easy to recognize our LMP2 #40 .. ..

 

 

LE MANS 24 HOURS : SCRUTINEERING

Yesterday, technical checks and scrutineering for our LMP2 car, #40.

The drivers are well arrived, and the car has been presented to the Sarthe region companies, partners of our project.

This Saturday, the drivers have to go to the "drivers-checks" : helmet, licence, driver suits, will be checked.

We are finalizing the installation of the box and hospitality.

Test day is planned for tomorrow, Sunday.

And we have a nice wheather at Le Mans !
