Prêt à nous suivre pour la plus longue et la plus prestigieuse course GT au monde ?
La semaine des 24H de Spa démarre dès ce lundi 26 juillet pour se terminer le dimanche 1er août. C'est bien sûr l'épreuve phare du Championnat GT World Challenge. Nous y serons présents avec notre BMW M6 GT3 aux couleurs de Michel Vaillant. Un double programme nous attend puisque nous participerons également au championnat Lamborghini Super Trofeo avec 3 voitures. Le pilote chinois Huilin Han rejoint notre équipe pour l'aventure.

On July 31st and August 1st, the Franco-Swiss driver, Yann Zimmer will compete in his first 24H race on the track known as the most beautiful in the world. He will drive the BMW M6 GT3 in his childhood idol scheme, the comic book hero Michel Vaillant.
“We got in touch with Boutsen Ginion Racing a few months ago thanks to the team's engineer, who I am close to and who lives a few hundred meters from my main sponsor this year, Huckert's Laboratory, reveals Yann. They were looking for a Silver driver to complete their line-up already composed of a Gold driver, Jens Klingmann, and two Bronze drivers, Jens Liebhauser and Karim Ojjeh, because it’s in this kind of configuration that we can aim for a good result in the Pro-Am class of the Spa 24H."
Yann was at work on Tuesday and Wednesday at Francorchamps to take part in the official tests and get to grips with the BMW M6 GT3. The car proved to be a good performer, with the best time in the first session and the second time in the second session.
"After a first test in Paul Ricard a few months ago, the tests at Spa have allowed me to perfect my learning of the car, a magnificent "Art Car" with its livery in memory of Jean Graton. I had three idols when I was young: Ayrton Senna, Jo Siffert, and Michel Vaillant, so it is an honor for me to be part of that story. I think that with the emulation within our line-up and the team, all the ingredients are gathered to aim for the podium in Pro-Am. That's the goal, because on a race like this, anything can happen", concludes Yann.

The contenders for this year's TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa have completed two days of extensive running to kick off the final phase of preparations for the twice-around-the-clock race (29 July–1 August).
The annual two-day test was staged five weeks before teams return to the venue for the 73rd edition of the Belgian endurance classic and saw a total of 61 cars running on the fabled Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The list of participants featured nine brands, all of which are set to be represented at this year's race.
The famous Spa weather made its presence felt on Tuesday when heavy rain greeted competitors at the track ahead of the first green flag. There was an upside to the challenging conditions, as teams were able to log extensive mileage using the latest evolution of Pirelli's wet compound tyre, conducting work that could prove crucial during next month's race.
The rain had cleared by Wednesday morning, providing an opportunity to switch to slick rubber and increase the pace.
Our BMW M6 GT3 #10 was the top in the Pro-Am class.
The build-up to the 2021 TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa will continue in the coming days and weeks, with the full entry list, event timetable and official poster all set to be revealed shortly. For the teams, there is time to analyse the findings of the test before returning to the circuit next month for the main event. With preparations reaching their final phase, the latest edition of the world's most competitive GT race is just around the corner.

A second podium in Lambo Cup class for Pierre Feligioni and Daniel Waszczinski, with the second step in Race 2. Claude-Yves Gosselin and Marc Rostan finish in P4 position.

Thursday's sunshine has been replaced by heavy rain clouds. The rain has stopped falling, so the first practice session on the Dutch circuit will start on slick tires. Second session is also dry.

The LAMBORGHINI Super Trofeo Championship will stop at Zandvoort in the Netherlands for the third round of the season. For once, it will not be twinned with the GT World Challenge Endurance, but with the Sprint. We will be there with our 2 Lamborghinis.
